Westgate Global awarded prestigious sustainability accolade by EcoVadis

Westgate Global has been awarded a Silver Medal for its commitment to environmental, social and governance issues. The badge means that Westgate ranks in the top 15% percent of companies assessed worldwide by EcoVadis, indicating a commitment to CSR, including Environment, Social and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

Exemplary ESG practices

EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, with a global network of over 150,000 rated companies across 200 sectors. Its rigorous evidence-based sustainability assessments aid companies striving to improve their environmental, social and ethical performance. The award recognises Westgate's exemplary people practices alongside its certified environmental management, comprehensive ethical standards, and responsible supply chain management.

Assessed across four pillars, Westgate Global performed strongly in all areas — holding both ISO 14001 and a specific environmental certification, reporting transparently across Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions, and delivering measurable operational improvements in areas including carbon reduction in transportation, hazardous substance management, and noise and dust mitigation.

The company's highest score came in Labour & Human Rights, where a score of 100 out of 100 for measures reflects people-focused practices spanning health and safety, equal pay, family-friendly programmes and career development. On ethics and sustainable procurement, solid anti-corruption governance, whistleblower procedures, active supplier assessments and on-site audits round out a performance that reflects a business truly committed to responsible operations at every level.

Sustainability in action

Over recent years, Westgate Global has implemented many initiatives and continues to take steps to reduce its carbon footprint;

  • Adopting eco-friendly practices
  • Investing in energy-efficient vehicles, lighting and technology
  • Sourcing materials from sustainable suppliers
  • Monitoring and reducing waste through reducing, reusing, recycling
  • Minimising the consumption of raw materials, fuel and energy

Reuben Harrington, Head of Products and Compliance, commented: "We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the EcoVadis Silver Sustainability Rating again this year. This result reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team and demonstrates that our commitment to reducing environmental impact, protecting our people, and operating as a truly responsible business is more than just a vision - it is something we live every day."

A responsible partner

Westgate Global's commitment to sustainability extends beyond its own operations. The company's product range includes a variety of items designed for reuse and recycling, directly supporting customers in meeting their ESG targets and circular-economy ambitions. By supplying products that can be returned, repurposed or recycled at end of life, Westgate helps its customers reduce waste, minimise resource consumption, and demonstrate responsible procurement — making sustainability a shared outcome across the supply chain.

With customers increasingly scrutinising the environmental and social performance of their supply chains, Westgate Global's EcoVadis Silver rating provides clear, independent evidence of the company's commitment to sustainable and responsible business.
