Efficient workshop space created at Ford Dagenham with Anchorwall partitioning
Company: Ford
Location: Dagenham
Overview: Create a separate workshop area inside the main factory.
Solution: Anchorwall

Westgate Global were contacted when Ford’s Dagenham site required a segregated workshop area within the main factory. To meet this requirement, they opted for Anchorwall, a fixed part-height steel partition and a trusted solution known for its durability and reliability in industrial environments.
The key objective was to create a designated workshop space while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. The solution needed to be robust, easy to install, and capable of maintaining an organised work environment within the high-traffic factory setting.
Anchorwall, in a light grey finish was the ideal choice due to its numerous advantages. Anchorwall offers a range of colours, finishes and configurations, including single skin, double skin, mesh, or perforated finishes, allowing customisation to meet specific operational needs. For enhanced safety, fire-rated panels are available upon request, contributing to a secure and compliant working environment.

Double skin Anchorwall was selected for this project, along with a sliding gate. Its robust construction ensures long-term durability in industrial settings, making it ideal for creating segregated workspaces within factories. The design of Anchorwall occupies minimal floor space, preserving valuable operational areas, which is a crucial factor in high-traffic environments like Ford's factory. Additionally, the modular system design facilitates quick and clean installations, and the partition can be reconfigured or relocated as business needs evolve, offering flexibility in dynamic industrial settings.
In total there were 2 runs of double skin Anchorwall installed, 23 metres wide by 2.7m high of solid Anchorwall, with 1.3m of mesh fencing installed to the top and 18 metres wide by 2.7m high of solid Anchorwall, with 1.3m of mesh fencing installed to the top. Incorporated into these were also a fire door and a matching steel sliding gate. The gate was 3.5m wide, with a height to the top rail of the sliding gate to be 4 metres, 1.2 metres to be solid, then up to 4 metres of mesh fencing. The steel sliding gate was an ideal addition to the workshop, to ensure free movement of equipment and product within the facility.

Having previously collaborated with Ford at the Dagenham site, the team was well-acquainted with their operational needs and quality expectations. Westgate Global provided Anchorwall as the ideal partitioning system to establish a structured and efficient workshop area. The installation process was planned to ensure seamless integration within the existing factory layout. The successful implementation of Anchorwall created a defined, clean, and efficient workspace within the factory. Ford Dagenham continues to trust the quality and service, having relied on Westgate Global for many solutions across their sites. The new segregated area improved workflow organisation and overall factory efficiency.
Our strong track record at Ford Dagenham and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions played a crucial role in winning this project. Having previously installed partitioning solutions on site, including our Flexiwall fabric wall partition, we were already familiar with the factory’s operational requirements and the need for adaptable workspace solutions. The successful installation of Anchorwall further reinforced our reputation as a reliable provider of industrial partitioning solutions, ensuring Ford Dagenham continues to benefit from structured, efficient and well-organised spaces.
